Programme Note

Glass Songs is a cycle of four short songs, each about a different household object made of glass - lightbulb, jar, mirror and wine glass. The words are written such that the singer becomes a personification of each glass object in each song, while the electronic accompaniment is created from recordings of striking and breaking the objects.
